Volunteers
Employees of the Mitsubishi Electric US companies energetically volunteer in their communities, in support of the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation's mission of serving young people with disabilities and of other worthy causes in their communities. Starfish Matches
Starfish Matches, MEAF's Matching Gifts program, is an employee contributions program. Matches are available to eligible Mitsubishi Electric US company employees to match personal donations to nonprofit organizations serving young people with disabilities. The donations are matched dollar for dollar for a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $500 per employee per year.

Starfish Matches assist young people with all kinds of disabilities, visible and invisible. Starfish Match recipients must be nonprofit organizations that will use the funds to serve young people with disabilities. The recipients can be either: a) disability-specific organizations such as children's hospitals, camps for sick children, and health research organizations, or b) traditional nonprofit organizations such as schools and recreation programs, colleges and universities, museums and libraries that agree to designate the funds toward helping youth with disabilities. We Do Not Match Donations for:
- Individuals (scholarships, stipends, fellowships, personal assistance)
- Intermediary organizations such as the United Way
- Organizations whose services are limited to a particular ethnic, fraternal, labor or political constituency
- Loans of money for any purpose
- Organizations that discriminate by race, color, creed, religion, veteran status or national origin
- Equipment or devices for individual users
- Organizations engaged exclusively in political activities or lobbying
- Sectarian or religious activities for religious purposes
- Organizations or programs connected with a controversial social or political issue
- Endowment campaigns
- Political campaigns or causes
- Projects exclusively benefiting individuals or groups outside of the United States
- For-profit organizations
