Volunteers on the M.O.V.E.
Employees of the Mitsubishi Electric US companies energetically volunteer in their communities, in support of the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation's mission of serving young people with disabilities and of other worthy causes in their communities. Volunteer projects range from visiting children in hospitals to organizing family carnivals to tending gardens at schools for kids with special needs.
Disability Mentoring Day
Disability Mentoring Day takes place in October each year as part of Disability Employment Awareness Month. Mitsubishi Electric US companies participate in this national program that promotes career development for students with disabilities through job shadowing and hands-on career exploration.
Mitsubishi Electric Hallway Golf Raises nearly $40,000 to support Kids Included Together and other charities

In fall 2009, the Mitsubishi Electric companies in the U.S. hosted their second annual, company-wide volunteer fundraising project ? the Mitsubishi Electric Hallway Golf Tournament. Nine locations participated in the event, building and playing miniature golf-style holes in hallways, warehouses and on factory floors. MEAF awarded trophies for the "Most Creative Hole" and the "Most Money Raised." The winner of for "Most Money Raised" was the PEACH Committee at MDEA-Braselton, raising $7825 at their 46-person office. ACTiVE Committee won the "Most Creative Hole" award for their New York City Hole.The event raised nearly $40,000, which was shared between Kids Included Together and local charities selected by the philanthropy committee at each location.
The third annual Mitsubishi Electric Hallway Golf Tournament will take place at company locations around the country in fall 2010.
2010 M.O.V.E. Award Goes to PEACH Committee at MDEA/Braselton
Six outstanding projects were nominated for this year's Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation M.O.V.E. Award, with the winner selected by a panel of judges composed of current and former Employee Representatives. Speaking of the six nominated projects, judges remarked:
"Great projects during difficult times, nice to see people doing good!"
"...all the projects are very worthwhile and I commend all of the committees and volunteers on their outstanding efforts!"
The M.O.V.E. Award is given annually to the most outstanding volunteer project organized by employees of a Mitsubishi Electric company in the U.S. This year, Hallway Golf, organized by the PEACH Committee of MDEA/Braselton, GA, was named the recipient of the 2010 Award. read more »
